Rabbi Tovia Singer: Bible Translations are Problematic because the Church Corrupted Scriptures

Rabbi Tovia Singer explains that students of the Bible who depend on translations are vulnerable to misjudging Scripture.   As it turns out, the Church systematically and deliberately altered both the Jewish and Christian Scriptures for a variety of reasons.   Church scribes tampered with passages in Tanach in order to persuade potential converts that the Hebrew Bible foretold that Jesus is both the promised messiah and a divine being.  Moreover, Christendom doctored the New Testament so that it appeared to comport with more developed christology.
